Natural Balance recalls Sweet Potato & Chicken formula

Natural Balance has announced a limited recall of its dry Sweet Potato and Chicken formula because of the potential of salmonella contamination. The recall affects the 5 and 28 pound sizes of food with a “Best By” date of June, 17, 2011. More information and the company’s official announcement can be found here.

Iams cat food recall

Procter and Gamble, the manufacturer of Iams, has announced a recall on all 3 oz and 5.5 oz. varieties of canned Iams ProActive Health cat and kitten food. The recall was launched as a result of diagnostic testing which showed insufficient levels of thiamine in the foods. The company’s press release can be found here.
